Smitty: “I love you too, My Darling Queen. I’m sure I’ve known it since the moment we met, I just needed time to discover it. Take your time.”
Kayla slips off into the bathroom. Smith sits on the bed and stares out the window with a refreshed sigh. He talks to himself.
Smitty: “I can have a career and love at the same time.”
He gets a confused look on his face.
Smitty: “Right? I can. Can I?”
He shakes his head and changes his thought course to lunch.
Smitty: “She’ll love that little Crêpe place, Smitty. So weird to be thinking for two. You can do this, Jonesy. We got this. We will conquer so many great challenges together. She’s the one. I don’t have to feel like a monster anymore.”
He gets up and begins to get himself ready to go out as well.

Approximately forty-five minutes later and a few instances where Kayla appeared in a towel only to go grab something from her bags and disappear again, she finally emerged fully dressed and looking amazing. Opting to keep her hair loose she’d dressed appropriately for the cool weather in some snug jeans and a top that just had to emphasise her assets. Kayla grins, immediately sitting on the edge of the bed.
Kayla: Okay… I thought you’d have got bored by now with all the waiting.
She smiles before it fades just slightly as she got serious.
Kayla: So all that pampering gave me time to think.
Kayla said, before crawling up the bed to get a little closer to where he’d sat.
Kayla: We gotta set some ground rules. Not many… but some.
Kayla said, her eyes completely focused on him, she was captivated every time she looked at him.
Kayla: Firstly, we can’t let our relationship cloud our judgement when it comes to wrestling. Smith, I’m being serious. If we are in a match together and oh, I don’t know I’m thrown to the outside unconscious or whatever I don’t want you sacrificing anything because of me. You just ignore me and carry on doing what you do best. I’ll be fine. You said your career was the number one priority and it always will be when you are inside a wrestling ring. Same goes for mine. Past the gorilla position, out in the ring in any arena in the world we’ve got a job to do. The Kayla that would be out there is different to the one sat here now. The “wrestling Kayla” is all about winning whatever the cost… and I hate to tell you this but I can’t let emotions get in the way. I’m sure you agree with that.
Kayla takes a breath after the huge speech that she’d clearly been preparing in the time she’d spent getting ready.
Kayla: Don’t think that’s heartless of me… it’s just my mindset. The second we are back backstage again “wrestling Kayla” goes back in the box.
Kayla laughed just slightly, she was analysing him for a reaction so she stopped talking to get his opinion on the matter. |

Smith slowly nods as Kayla’s speech comes to an end. His face is stern and he is just as serious as she is about this. They are on the...
Smitty: “Exact same page. There is nothing more important than getting those wins. Bell to bell, it’s all business. But for now, I’ve got you all dressed up and looking hot and heck and there’s nothing more I want to do than show you off to the world.”
Smith himself is looking sharp. He holds his hand out to his lovely lady and he leads her out of the room and into the hall. They walk arm in arm to the elevator.
Smitty: “I want to take you to this incredible place across town. The limo is already waiting for us.”
They arrive at the elevator and Smith pushes the button. They wait. Smith pulls her in for another. Now that they’ve moved their relationship to the next level, Smith wants Kayla’s lips on him always.
Smitty: “We are going to take on the entire world together. You ready for this?”

Kayla: Of course I am. But the second we are in the public eye... we are just 'besties' again.
Kayla giggles, obviously they know otherwise. Kayla is already kinda enjoying the deception.
Kayla: I'm bad... I can't help it. It will all come out in the open one day... but for now Mr Jones...
Kayla presses her lips back against his again, she was enjoying this a lot.
Kayla: Turning into the best birthday ever... When's your birthday?
She asked, little questions like this was bound to crop up as they continue to get to know one another. |

Smitty: “Cinco de Mayo.”
The elevator arrives with a ding and they enter. Jones presses G and squeezes Kayla’s hand with a smile.
Smitty: “It’s May 5th. Y’know, you won the XHW Eden Championship on my thirty-second birthday. Your first title, if I’m not mistaken. And I am totally with you on keeping this from the public. No need having the world try to distract us from what’s truly important. You and I are taking over and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop us.”
The elevator dings again and Smith lets go of Kayla’s hand before the doors open. He quickly exits ahead of her.
Smitty: “Some things are best kept behind closed doors.”

Kayla hesitates just briefly just so he was a few steps ahead of her, being seen in public together wasn't anything new to everyone else they were professional tag team partners and that was that. Kayla took a breath, was this going to be harder than she thought? She decided to put her game face on as she followed him across the hotel lobby. Once outside the building the limo was waiting just like Smith said it was and lucky for them most of the people around where either minding their own business or just mildly curious but not enough to cause any hindrance to them. Smith allowed Kayla to slip in the back seat first before following in afterwards. Once inside Kayla let out the breath she didn't know she was holding. Maybe it wasn't just because she was with Smith, Kayla got a little tense every time there was potential fans around. With the door closed and the vehicle in motion she could relax again and thought back to what he said about his birthday.
Kayla: I keep forgetting your older than me. There's like nearly ten years between us.
Not that Kayla cared in the slightest, it appeared she liked the older man since Jaime was much older than her too.
Kayla: Just you wait till your birthday...
She grinned, poking her tongue out a little, her eyes lighting up. Smith could only imagine the ideas she was currently dreaming up.
Kayla: So where are we headed? I love surprises...
She said as she snuggled in close next to him again, the smell of his cologne gently washing over her as she gave a tiny sigh of happiness. |

Smith melts into Kayla as they cuddle together in their limousine. He plays with her hair and he looks out the window as they drive through the streets. Smith's mood is high. He doesn't feel the same tension that Kayla feels around the fans, but he respects her feelings enough to always remain careful about public displays of affection, at least for now. He speaks to her in soft, dulcet tones.
Smitty: “First, I've asked our driver to take us to this great little crêperie. Our order is almost ready for us to pick up and eat on the way to the airport. Surprise, we're headed for Hollywood!! It strikes me that we've been living together in LA, but I haven't taken you out enough. The surprise is on the other end of the flight, so we have the day to spend talking together, just the two of us. The jet is fuelled up and standing by.”
He looks at Kayla and awaits her reaction.

Kayla's eyes lit up with a huge smile.
Kayla: Ya telling me I don't have to ride in economy class anymore??
She laughs softly, her hand running down his chest.
Kayla: I can't wait! I mean I've been to Hollywood before... But have never really had time to go out and experience the sights... It's just been wrestling, wrestling, wrestling.
Her fingers were walking across his abs as she spoke. She enjoyed the closeness already between them it seemed so natural.
Kayla: I'm excited to see what you've got planned for us when we get there Smith, I'm gonna enjoy every second of this. |

Smitty: “It makes me happy to see you happy, sweetheart.”
It’s been so long since Smith has smiled so genuinely from so deep within. He is shocked at how comfy a feeling this is.
Smitty: “My new TV series is almost done shooting. It's my first acting gig ever. I'm feeling good about it. They'll go into post-production later this month and the premiere should happen right around SuperBrawl! I've been a little low key about it, but I'm stoked. It's called Second Chance. I get to play an action hero. If we get a second season, I may be able to get you on the show, but shooting wouldn't begin until autumn-ish. Have you ever done any acting?”

Kayla gave him a look of part fear, part curiosity.
Kayla: Acting? Me?
She quickly shook her head no.
Kayla: I've never actually thought too hard about it... I probably wouldn't be any good at it.
She gives a soft laugh.
Kayla: I mean I could give it a go... I'd give anything in life a go! Have me as an extra milling around in the background!
Kayla giggles again, that role probably wasn't what he was thinking for her.
Kayla: So your the action hero hey? Babe, I'm sure the whole show will be a great success... especially if your at the heart of it all! I can't wait to see it... Do I get a sneak peek before the premiere?
Kayla asked with a cheeky grin, she had noticed this slight change in him since they'd been together. It was indeed happiness and Kayla wasn't going to allow that to change anytime soon... the more time they spent together the more she knew those feelings between them were right. Kayla definitely wasn't ever letting go. |

Smitty: “Honestly, I don’t even think I get a sneak peak before the premiere. You will, however, look incredible on my arm when the time comes.”
He kisses her softly and gets lost in her lovely eyes as he tends to do. He pulls her even closer to him. Now that he’s found love, he never wants to let go.
Smitty: “I’m so very much in love with you, Kay. I can’t imagine how I survived in life so long while always stifling my soft side. I have needed you for so long. Our ten-year age difference doesn’t bother me in the least. We connect. That is all that matters.”
He smiles.
Smitty: “You get me. I’m all yours.”

Kayla beams a smile. Was this what real love felt like? Being with Smith was intoxicating and like being in their own little bubble. Pure bliss.
Kayla: From the moment we met we’ve had a connection. And yes I definitely can’t wait to be on your arm at the premiere.
Another smile, another kiss, this was becoming like second nature.
Kayla: You are right... we are going to rule the world. |

The next few hours just fly by. They share laughs and stories and kisses as Smith’s jet flies them across the country and into LA. They are met by another limo which whisks them off from the tarmac directly to...
Smitty: “Okay. You ready for the surprise?”
Smith's emotion is directly connected to Kayla's. Whatever she feels, he feels, and he feels utter excitement. He smiles.
Smitty: “We are about to have a blast!”

Kayla: Oh my God... what's it going to be?
Kayla was bubbling with excitement. She takes a couple of deep breaths and squeezes his hand to try and compose herself.
Kayla: You've already spoiled me so much Smith... I can't wait to see...
The anticipation was now killing her as she gave him a huge smile. |

The limo pulls into the parking lot of Universal Studios. Smith has never been here and isn't even certain that Kayla will be into it, but he is in the mood for a thrill and some more bonding time with her.
Smitty: “I just thought, what better way to get immersed in Hollywood than to throw ourselves into it.”
There is a pause where he cannot quite read her reaction. He adds.
Smitty: “I… feel badly that we didn't move you back home to England. I want you to see more of what your new home has to offer. Play with me?”
He holds his breath and awaits her reaction.
