After a few important mid-week meetings, Eddie was more than pleased to shoot Jaime a quick text. The purpose? To meet him for lunch and drinks, so they could discuss a few important things which the Flawless One might find very interesting.
Eddie Wallace: Lunch today @ 1pm. Alinea Restaurant. Got a few things to go over. E.

No words are returned, just a series of emojis that seem at once completely ridiculous and par for the course from the Flawless One.
Praise hands. Laugh/cry face. 100. Dead face. Gun pointing to dead face.
...
Sure enough, Jaime Flawless himself comes strolling through the door of the Alinea at 12:57 PM. It comes as no surprise that as he's led to the table at precisely 12:59, Eddie Wallace is already seated there. Flawless calls out to him before he's even all the way to the table.
Jaime: Eddie! I gotta tell you this place does my image good. FOUR dollar signs on Google Reviews! Uber driver's gonna tweet all about how loaded I am!
He takes a seat opposite his manager.
Jaime: Rich loaded, not the drunk kind.

Eddie Wallace: You want to know what else is good for your image? Endorsements. I've gotten phonecalls from three distinct sources, all of which would like to have XHW Superstar and future United States Champion, Jaime Flawless, as the official spokesman of their brand.
He says as he motions flags the waiter over.
Eddie Wallace: Get whatever you like, it's on me today. Nothing can kill this mood right now.
He says through a smile. You could practically see the dollar signs in his eyes.

And Jaime can SEE the dollar signs. On the menu in front of him. His eyes widen before he is able to put his poker face back on.
Jaime: They uh. Heh. These must be some endorsements alright. Eddie...everything on here is OVER TWO-HUNDRED DOLLARS, I can't possibly-
The waiter arrives at the table and Jaime doesn't miss a beat.
Jaime: YES I'LL HAVE THE BLACK TRUFFLE I ORDER THIS SORT OF THING ALL THE TIME. And...wwwwaterrrrrr?
His eyebrows speak in the same questioning tone, climbing toward his hairline.
Easy Jaime, act natural. Natural like a FOX (?) - Eddie must be about to make you a MegaMillionaire!
Flawless remains stock-still in his seat, warily surveying the waiter as he shifts his attention to Wallace and takes his order.
If you remain perfectly still, waiters can't see you don't belong there and won't call the police. They're like T-rexes in their own way.

Eddie Wallace: Make that two. And another one of these...
He says, jiggling his glass. The waiter nods and toddles off to place their orders.
Eddie Wallace: Hey, just take a breath and relax, okay? It's them who should be nervous being around you, pal. You're the one who's about to become US champion at the biggest event this city's probably ever seen. AND...if you play your cards right, you can become a household name with the right deal.
He says, seeing the restlessness of his newest client.

Wait a minute...YEAH.
Jaime: Yeah. You're right. Deep breaths. I am a former Undisputed Champion! I've had that US Title before. I am Mister XH-no. Mister Professional Wrestling, PERIOD. Whew. Thanks, you talked me down there. So who wants to give us a bunch of money?

That's what he wanted to hear from his clients.
Eddie Wallace: Well, the first is New Balance. They're working on some new trainers or whatever, something to help firm up a bunch of housewives' asses. They didn't quite realize they were in the market for a fresh face to launch their new campaign, but I convinced them I could help them with that little problem if the money was right. The second is Refresher. Summer's coming up and they want to run head to head with Pepsi but need someone to work around. And since they've worked with guys in the business before, getting another big name wrestler was the next natural step in their thought process. That one might also put you in good standing with Rathecock if they can cross promote or something, you know how wrestling promotions love to make collector's cups and things like that. Either one would do wonders for your image, I believe.
He says with a small laugh, taking a sip of his drink.
Eddie Wallace: Now the last one? That one really surprised the hell out of me.

Housewife asses? Cool! Energy? Who couldn't use more? Ha - those old XHW Refresher commercials owned bones. I can definitely do that. Hells to the yeah, making money is EASY.
Flawless nods along at his inner monologue commentary of Wallace's rundown. He smiles and shakes his head at the way Eddie leaves off, masterfully building tension and suspense as if he were on an XHW camera selling an upcoming match.
Jaime: So far, so good! But okay, okay, I can only take so much uncertainty - what's this uh...surprising 'last one?' It sounds...LUCRATIVE.

Still smiling from ear to ear, Eddie looks around them then leans forward, getting good and close to Jaime.
Eddie Wallace: ...ever heard of a little company called UnderArmour?
He asks, flaring his eyebrows. There were few people who weren't aware of UnderArmour, especially among the athletic community.

Flawless whistles appreciatively.
Jaime: Hell yeah!
The duo gets some looks from the more reserved patrons in the establishment. The high price of the dishes here keep out the hipsters that might not find such an outburst out of place.
Jaime: That's that crossover appeal stuff. Anyone ever tell you you're worth the money? Jeez, Eddie. Come on...
He extends a closed fist over the table to Wallace inviting him in for a fistbump.
Jaime: Blow it up.

He chuckles a little as he puts his hands up for the fist bump. Jaime was so much different from Mason. And definitely more of a social creature, which was an area where Eddie excelled. Even when he wasn't on the clock, so to speak.
Eddie Wallace: Apparently their most recent deal isn't netting the returns they want and they're looking for someone with a little more athletic presence, rather than someone who will just flit off to Hollywood every five minutes. And a couple phone calls to the right people and lo and behold, the Flawless Brand became a topic of conversation.
He says, clearly very pleased with himself as he leans back in his chair.

Jaime: Pfft! Hollywood. Too many rules. But commercials? That's where the easy money is!
He doesn't know any of this to be true, but it sounds good! With a smirk, he studies Wallace's pleased expression for a moment.
Jaime: I'd say I'm impressed but...you're EDDIE WALLACE so it's not like surprising or anything you'd pull deals like this together. So...great job! So great, in fact, that I'll let you buy me lunch...even though you already said you would.

He nods, more than happy to oblige his newest client.
Eddie Wallace: Absolutely. Hey, it's like I said before...it's about growing the Flawless brand. And with the climate changing in the wrestling world, fans are looking to get behind someone like a Jaime Flawless now, more than ever.
He waves the waiter over again, so they can order their food.

He barks out a laugh.
Jaime: No matter how much I insult them too. I guess I can't complain - XHW always did have a pretty baller merch revenue-share setup. SPEAKING OF...
Flawless eyes the approaching waiter.
Jaime: Have you seen hard numbers from these guys yet? How much are they offering?

Eddie Wallace: Under Armour's gotten big names before, so they'll be used to putting out the big dollars for a good spokesman. I'm confident they'll offer you excellent money but I don't know if being associated with them would do as much for your image as the other two. It's a heavier schedule, which might mess with your schedule with the company. Not to mention, it's a risk they might do something stupid like try and treat you like 'generic pro athlete number 4' or something...
He says with a slight shrug.
Eddie Wallace: In all honestly, I think New Balance would treat you the best. The money might not be the same as Under Armour but can you name me three big names that have done promotional work for New Balance? Because I can't. They'll be a bit more apt to try and accommodate you, in order to make up for the smaller deal. Especially after I let them know the kind of money you'd be making with Under Armour.
He snickers to himself.
